The 60 Second Film Festival — Submissions Policy

By submitting your film to The 60 Second Film Festival ("the Festival"), you agree to the following terms regarding the rights granted to the Festival and how those rights are administered.

1. Rights Granted

By submitting your film, you grant the Festival the following non-exclusive rights:

a. Exhibition Rights. The right to exhibit your film as part of the current season of the Festival and any future seasons, in any format or venue the Festival uses to present its program, including but not limited to physical screenings, our website, and platforms such as YouTube.

b. Festival Licensing Rights. The right to license the Festival program — as a curated package, not your film individually — to third-party venues, exhibitors, or platforms (for example, a theater, streaming partner, or in-flight entertainment provider). Your film may be included as part of such a licensed program.

c. Promotional Alteration Rights. The right to alter, edit, excerpt, or reformat your film for the limited purposes of promoting or technically formatting content for the Festival across various platforms (for example, creating trailers, "best of" compilations, or adapting aspect ratio and specifications for a given platform). This right does not extend to altering the substantive content or narrative of your film for exhibition purposes.

These rights are granted worldwide and apply without geographic restriction, including online distribution and platforms such as YouTube.

2. Non-Exclusivity

All rights granted above are non-exclusive. You retain full ownership of your film and remain free to distribute, license, exhibit, or enter into agreements — including exclusive agreements — with any other party at any time.

You should be aware that because the Festival's rights are non-exclusive and indefinite, our continued exhibition or use of your film may be a factor that a third party considers when negotiating a separate agreement with you. If this is a concern, contact us before submitting.

3. Duration

These rights are granted for an indefinite term and continue until revoked by you as described in Section 5. There is no automatic expiration.

4. Compensation

The Festival does not currently offer monetary compensation for exhibition or for inclusion in a licensed Festival package. Recognition may take the form of awards, honors, or prizes, which may include cash or in-kind gifts at the Festival's discretion.

If, at a future date, a licensing arrangement involving your film generates revenue, this policy does not itself entitle you to a share of that revenue. Compensation in such cases, if any, is not guaranteed and would be addressed separately, at the Festival's discretion, on a case-by-case basis.

5. Revocation and Takedown Requests

You may revoke your consent for future use, upload, or sharing of your film at any time by contacting the Festival at 60sff@channelsixty.com. Upon receiving a valid revocation request, the Festival will:

• Remove your film from active Festival rotation and programming going forward.
• Exclude your film from any future licensing arrangements entered into after the date of your request.

Limitations on revocation. The Festival will make reasonable efforts to honor revocation requests but cannot guarantee complete removal in all circumstances. Specifically:

• Active third-party licenses. If your film is part of a Festival program already licensed to a third party under a fixed term (for example, an airline or streaming partner) at the time of your request, the Festival cannot unilaterally remove your film before that license term expires. The Festival will notify the third party of your request where practicable.
• Previously published promotional material. Promotional clips or excerpts that have already been published and are in wide circulation (for example, an existing trailer or compilation with established public reach) may remain available even after a revocation request. The Festival will consider reasonable requests to adjust attribution or modify assets that remain fully within its control.
• General limitation. Because content may be copied, mirrored, or redistributed by others once published, the Festival cannot guarantee that your film will be removed from every platform or location associated with the Festival's past activity.

6. Negotiation

Nothing in this policy prevents you from contacting the Festival to discuss the terms above, including compensation, at any time — whether at the time of submission, during a revocation request, or otherwise. The Festival will consider such requests in good faith but is not obligated to agree to any change in terms.

7. Acknowledgment

By checking the agreement box during submission, you confirm that you have read and understood this Submissions Policy, that you have the legal authority to grant the rights described above, and that you agree to be bound by its terms.
